Pelican Bay Water Treatment Plant - MBV Engineering was contracted to provide the engineering services and on-site inspection for the wastewater treatment facility FDEP operating permit renewal. Our firm also provided environmental engineering services for the water treatment facility modifications. The purpose of the water treatment project was to modify the plant process flow to ensure adequate detention time while preventing disinfectant byproduct formation and an undesirable odor that was occuring due to a reaction of the chlorine with the zeolite filters.
