Established in 1985, MECO Engineering Company, Inc. is a leader in the specialized field of municipal and governmental consulting. Through our integrity, innovation, and reliability, we are dedicated to raising the standards of our industry while achieving and maintaining client satisfaction. MECO's Corporate Office is located in Hannibal, Missouri, and our operations are augmented by offices in Jefferson City, and Branson, Missouri and Pittsfield and Springfield, Illinois. We concentrate our efforts on providing engineering consulting and land surveying services to our public sector clients, primarily municipalities, water/sewer districts and county commissions, who represent a large percentage of our client base.

The surveyor plays an active and important role in project development, drafting and design, working closely with the Design Engineer. We approach Project Development with a comprehensive perspective with the understanding that preliminary and final design are directly related and affected by site requirements. The initial survey is integral to the design process as site specific information is gathered and transferred to the Engineer for evaluation. Our design team is skilled and proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, providing an efficient and accurate transfer to data for preliminary and final design, construction staking and record drawing at the end of the project.

MECO's primary focus as a Civil Engineering firm is municipal engineering, with an emphasis on public drinking water systems and facilities and wastewater engineering. Our firm brings extensive experience and expertise in new system design as well as the rehabilitation and expansion of existing systems and facilities. Our work is all inclusive, starting with project planning and development, assistance in procurement of project funds, design and permitting, project and construction management to ensure the project is constructed according to approved plans and specifications and meets local and regulatory requirements.

MECO is a leading provider of quality structural engineering services to governmental and private sector clients. Work experience includes structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings, industrial structures, liquid-containing structures, flood walls, foundations, retaining walls, rehabilitation projects, and bridges. Basic services included on-site data collection and observation of the existing canopy system at the Van-Far R-1 School (located at 2200 West Highway 54, Vandalia, MO); design of new roof decking, and evaluation/design of anchorage for the re-attachment of several existing support frame connection to the buildings.
