Granite Basin engineering (GBE) is a veteran-owned small business located in Prescott, Arizona. We are a multidisciplinary firm that specializes in all aspects of land development. We offer over 80 years of combined experience in the civil engineering and surveying industry in Arizona. GBE was founded in 2006 by engineers Davin Benner and Ben Huza with the primary goal of promoting creativity and resourcefulness in every step of planning, design and construction.
We are responsible for land surveying on every project we are involved with. This usually includes an ALTA/ACSM land title survey during the initial due diligence and planning phase, platting and setting of corner monuments, then construction staking for mass grading, building layout, paving and concrete flatwork. Granite Basin Engineering, Inc. has developed an ALTA/ACSM Land title survey for the historic school site in the center of the City of Prescott. It began with boundary resolution to develop a modern description for the subject property.
GBE completed the improvement plans for the relocation of the existing batch plant. The project included grading and drainage design, water service extensions, foundation design for the new plant, retaining wall design for material bins, retaining wall design for site grading, and segmental retaining wall design. Structural cross sections for the site retaining walls included both CMU and concrete options. The plans were submitted to the client less than 45 days after notice to proceed. GBE provided professional services for site improvements to this single family residence in Prescott, Arizona.
