Darrell received a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas in 1971, paying for his education working for Acme Plumbing (precursor to Christianson Company), owned by his uncle, W. G. Christianson. After graduation, Darrell began a 34 year career with the Christianson Company, ultimately serving as its president and general manager. After a brief retirement, he formed Victory Plumbing in 2006 along with partners Lee Johnson and Randy Taylor. Lee began his career in the construction industry shortly after graduating high school in Round Rock, Texas.
