We are delighted to warmly welcome you to Transcend Dental Health of Round Rock, Texas. This is where Dr. Matthew Carpenter treats patients with conventional dentistry, holistic dentistry and naturopathy. His intensive studies in all three areas enable him to help patients suffering not only from dental problems but also chronic illnesses. Many of these illnesses can be traced to unhandled, toxic situations in one or more teeth or the bones of the jaw. After nearly losing his life to the mercury he was exposed to as a dentist.

Dr. Carpenter began his career by completing undergraduate work at Texas A&M University and then dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center, he began treating underserved patients in New Mexico. By providing care through La Clínica del Pueblo de Río Arriba, he came in contact with many underprivileged Native-American and Mexican-American patients who were desperate for adequate medical care.

Dr. Carpenter has chosen the strictest guidelines for effective, safe and high-quality care for his patients. After practicing dentistry for many years, he became a board-certified naturopath so he could offer his patients even more therapies to enable them to recover from chronic illnesses. He then integrated these additional natural methods of healing into his dental practice. You might think of preventative dentistry as simply having your teeth cleaned twice a year and brushing them daily. At Transcend Dental Health, we go a lot further than that.

Occasionally, a patient will tell us that they want to save a badly infected tooth by getting root canal therapy. While Dr. Carpenter is opposed to root canal therapy, he will refer a patient to a specialist when this is what they want. Before he does so, he ensures that this patient makes this decision based on fully informed consent. This means that a patient has a full understanding of the risks of this procedure and that they know all the options available to them. If you are considering a root canal or you already have teeth treated with this procedure, you should know that these teeth can affect your health in three different ways: microbiological, structural and electrical.

In addition to dentistry, Dr. Carpenter also offers patients a wide range of holistic and naturopathic services to help them recover and maintain their overall wellness. He brings a deep, personal understanding of how a person can lose their vitality to problems like mercury and metal toxicity, hidden infections, allergies and other causes. His greatest joy is seeing a patient return to vibrant health. Naturopathic medicine focuses on holistic, proactive prevention of ill health while avoiding the use of any toxins or damaging substances.
