Offerman Woodshop

Offerman Woodshop is a small collective of woodworkers and makers based out of Nick Offerman's charismatic wood shop in East Los Angeles. We focus on hand-crafted, traditional joinery & sustainable slab rescue-working with fallen trees from our urban LA environment as well as greater California and Oregon. We like to carve spoons, chainsaw stumps, plank canoes, keep our chisels sharp with stones, build ukuleles & fine furniture. From refined modern designs to enormous Middle-Earth masterpieces, we build it all while smiling a lot (between the occasional gol-dang-its).

Our custom dining tables feature a variety of wood species and designs depending on the needs of the client and the space. One of our favorite challenges, we love making a special place for sharing meals with feathered friends. Whether it be your first (or last) supper, a gathering of the fellowship, or a heavyweight board room meeting, our custom built tables are made to please. We specialize in live edge and slab tables of monolithic proportions, but we don't shy away from crafting smaller surfaces that would suit a hobbit, or indeed, a human. We have a penchant for doing things right which often means doing it the old way. We like to incorporate traditional joinery methods that are built to withstand multi-generational wear and tear.

We are designers and builders of custom wood furniture and unique objects. Based in Los Angeles, we specialize in the creation of live-edge and slab furniture utilizing salvaged and ethically sourced lumber from California and Oregon. We mill (and sell) our own slabs that are sourced from the greater Los Angeles area and Southern California. While we love meatballs, we're no Ikea. We don't do chipboard, MDF, or plastic laminates. We do one-of-a-kind wood objects that celebrate the noble trees from whence they came, are full of personality, and come built to last.

Offerman Woodshop has a long tradition of hand-burned works, clearly and creatively labeling everything from the respirator cabinet to the ever mysterious "Foxy's Hidey Hole."
