From its humble beginnings serving industrial manufacturers at its Cambridge location, Sterritt Lumber has since developed the versatility to satisfy a wide range of customers from homeowners to the largest commercial contractors and everyone in between. Now in its 3rd generation of Mackin family ownership Sterritt is poised for the future while maintaining our rich history of quality and service.

Fifteen years ago, Sterritt Lumber embarked on its newest venture: green building. We became FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) chain of custody certified to distribute, re-manufacture, pressure and fire treat FSC® certified wood products. Sterritt has gained many accolades for this distinction including being named "Best of Boston" for 2009 by the Best of Boston Home Magazine for the Best Eco-Friendly Flooring Category.
