We are a third generation, family owned and operated garage door company serving the greater Danbury area for over 60 years. We purchase only quality doors from many manufacturers to meet our customers needs. This includes: steel and aluminum insulated doors, custom and semi custom wood doors. We offer a full line of garage doors and garage door openers. We also offer consultation and construction services for special projects; if you don't think that you have enough headroom for an opener in your garage, let us tak e alook at it first.

On October 1, 1952, George and Ellie Potter opened Overhead Door Company of Danbury with one truck, no employees, and a small office on Germantown Road. As their business grew, they moved to a larger office, and in 1972, they purchased our current building at 26 Federal Road in Danbury. With George's untimely death in 1982, his son, Jeff, and his wife Jeanne took over the family business that George had worked so hard to build. In 2001 we saw incredible changes in management, our products, and even our company name!

Our garage doors are built to last, but some parts do occasionally wear out or become damaged. Virtually any component of the door can be replaced. We have a full time service crew that can make most problems go away in just one visit. We pride ourselves in first time complete calls. Our trucks are fully stocked with parts for the garage doors as well as the garage door openers. We check the door as well as the opener for wear and damage. After checking everything necissary, we will advise you as to what is needed as well as the cost to do so.
