Whether we employ organic or standard methods, we use a targeted approach when treating your property. A Habitat Specialist will be assigned to your property, providing personalized service to you. UpRooted Weed and Pest Control has been dedicated to being "organic whenever possible" from the beginning. Non-native landscape and aggressive insects can pose challenges to being 100% organic. We partner with our customers to ensure they have the proper landscape (right plant, right place) and patience for an organic program. We work with the Dunedin Community Organic Garden to develop and provide organic solutions. These solutions are then offered to our customers after they have been tested and proven effective.

How do I know if I have bed bugs? The most accurate way to identify a possible infestation is to look for physical signs of bed bugs. You can look for signs such as reddish stains or dark spots on bed sheets or mattresses and check for actual bed bugs themselves. Bed bugs are approximately 4 to 5 mm long and they are only the width of a credit card. Bed bugs prefer to be more active at night and can be found in crevices including seams of your mattress, furniture, electrical outlet faceplates, and behind baseboards.

UpRooted Weed and Pest Control is a specialist in tree and shrub health, serving Pinellas County and surrounding areas. As a part of our service, a Habitat Specialist provides a full inspection of the plants on your property and treats as needed every month. It can be difficult to identify insect damage on your trees and shrubs. Pests change with the seasons. Our Habitat Specialists can inspect your plants, trees, and shrubs, and consult with you on the proper treatment. We hold special certifications and undergo annual training to ensure we are fully informed and compliant with local/state regulations.

One of our specially trained Habitat Specialists will inspect your home top to bottom. Inspecting your attic, crawlspaces, and foundation for areas of risk and telltale signs of termite activity. All members of your household are impacted by the pests and the pest management methods you use in your home. At UpRooted Weed and Pest Control, we are pet owners too! Hobbes has multiple allergies and we are careful about what he is exposed to on a regular basis. We will provide the same level of attention for your pets that we provide to Hobbes. You may treat your pets with one of the many popular topical treatments for fleas and ticks. Did you know that many of those treatments contain the same active ingredient that your pest control tech puts down on your property?

One of the best parts of living in Florida is enjoying your outdoor living areas. Mosquitoes can ruin everything from casual chats with the neighbors to those big backyard BBQ's with family and friends. Not only can mosquitoes carry diseases that afflict humans, but they also can transmit several diseases and parasites that dogs and other animals are very susceptible to, including heartworms and West Nile virus. If you have mosquitoes, do not just reach for more repellent. Uprooted Weed and Pest Control provides mosquito control that is a must for you and your family.

Rodents and rodent infestations are a real problem for homeowners across North America. UpRooted Weed and Pest Control can help protect and sanitize your home or business. The first step is the exclusion process to ensure we prevent future access for rats and mice. We follow that with waste removal using special HEPA filtration for your safety. Finally, we recommend a sanitizing treatment for the attic and crawl spaces in your home to help with your indoor air quality. Many of our customers call when they hear noise in the walls and ceilings, especially at night.
