Current owner, Tom Mills, has owned and operated The Flying Goose since its start in 1993. In 1996, he gave what was known originally as The Four Corners Grille a unique identity by creating a micro-brewery. Mills put many years into rebuilding what is now The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille, a casual, family friendly restaurant and brewery now managed by his three kids Brett, Jordan, and Brianna. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment to all those who walk through our doors. Whether it be for a quick bite, a cold brew, or a place for family and friends to gather, we extend our "home" to you.
We receive about 766,000 kWh of free energy annually, delivered by the sun to our 3.1 acres at the Four Corners in New London. It seemed obvious to begin harvesting the sun's free resource. Various incentive programs and lower prices on solar systems created an opportunity to begin harvesting the sun's irradiance to help power our daily operations. Currently, we are offsetting about half of the fuel used to heat our hot water thanks to the new solar hot water collectors mounted on the roof over the dining room.
