ThorGeneral Contracting

ThorGeneral Contracting was founded with a mission to challenge the stereotypes of African-American construction contractors and prove that they could perform with quality work and professionalism. Our founder, Brandon A. Newell, recruited from the African-American community to build a company of master plumbers who adhered to policies of promptness, diplomacy and integrity. In 2012, he was recognized by the Chicago Urban League for this endeavor. Newell is a graduate of the Chicago Urban League's Pre-2 Apprentice Contractors Development Program and had hired a significant number of his classmates.

ThorGeneral Contracting serves residential, commercial and industrial markets throughout the Chicagoland area. The majority of our customers are well-known retail outlets such as those highlighted below. Shrimp Max, a restaurant in Evanston, Illinois, contracted ThorGeneral to construct the interior build-out and install underground plumbing for its 3,000 sq. Pro Nails, in South Holland, Illinois, contracted ThorGeneral to construct the interior build-out for its 3,000 sq. Mind & Body Spa, in Schaumburg, Illinois, contracted ThorGeneral to construct the interior build-out for its 5,000 sq.
