We are a locally owned, NABCEP certified solar installation business. Offering full service for solar installations, we strive to give you the lowest price, but best quality turn-key PV systems. Because Drew Bowen, a founding member of Turnsol, is a certified electrician in AL, GA, NC, & SC, we can install in most of the Southeast region. We promise never to oversell you on your PV system, but build a system specifically for your energy needs. We strive to be an ethical company. Our goal is to maximize your energy production, not our profit margin.

Turnsol Energy provides end-to-end commercial solar services with the ability to provide your business with a system to suit your specific needs. Our goal is to help businesses and large organizations decrease greenhouse gas emissions, reduce (or eliminate) their energy bills, and adopt sustainable business practices. We provide turn-key installations meaning our expeiernced team handles every step of the project. Some of our commercial projects include: Tracy's Medical Center in Tucker, GA; Firehall 4 Animal Hospital in Athens, GA; Stalwart Films the Walking Dead set, in Atlanta, GA; and the University of Georgia's Visual Design Building, in Athens, GA.

One of the most cost-effective ways to include renewable technologies into a building is by incorporating solar hot water. Most systems can pay for themselves in 2 - 3 years. Solar water heaters use the sun to heat either water or a heat-transfer fluid in the collector. Heated water is then held in the storage tank ready for use, with a conventional system providing additional heating as necessary. The tank can be a modified standard water heater, but it is usually larger and very well insulated.

Grid-tie systems generate electricity, sending this energy back to your utility company's power grid, which the power companies buy from you. You then purchase only what you need and the excess remains in the power grid for other users. In effect, this means the utility company will be paying you to produce energy for them, since the energy you produce counts against the energy your home or business uses. If you add battery-backup to a grid-tie system, you will be able to store any solar power you create but do not immediately use and then use that power later when you do need it.

Specifically, according to O.C.G.A. section 43-14-10 (a), no person shall engage in the electrical contracting business as an electrical contractor unless such person has a valid license from the division of Electrical Contractors. This term "electrical contractor"is defined by the statute as not simply the person who does the skilled physical and intellectual work, but more broadly covers "any person who engages in the business of electrical contracting under express or implied contract or who bids for, offers to perform, purports to have the capacity to perform electrical contracting under express or implied contract."
