Most awnings today are made of an acrylic woven fabric which is an all weather fabric. Window and door awnings can be left up year round without harm to the fabric. You may retract your window awnings for the winter, but we do recommend occasionally lowering them after rain or snow to keep them in the best shape. We do recommend storage for Sunclipper seasonal deck and patio canopy covers. Removing them will prevent damage to the framework from a heavy snow-load and give you more light during those short daylight hours.
