Savage residents and businesses contract with private refuse haulers in order to dispose of waste. Businesses must be licensed with the City in order to operate and collect in Savage. There is a City Ordinance that all garbage/recycling containers need to be stored out of the public view, except on collection day. On collection day, containers can be placed at the front property line after 4 p.m., and then must be moved back out of public view by 8 p.m. Violators are subject to ticketing. Most refuse haulers provide a recycling service (and the necessary containers) to their customers.

Electricity - There are two companies that provide electricity to Savage based on your address. Refer to the Electric Service Area map to determine your provider. The City of Savage provides water, sewer and storm sewer service to all residential and commercial properties located within our borders.
