We have gone through a few dozen couplers and about 20' of pipe already this week. It doesn't seem to be letting up either.
I promised the homeowner that I would post this. If you look closely, you'll notice the previous "plumber" used ribbon, like the kind you would use to decorate a present to anchor 2 pipes together. Nothing but the best for our customers! We were hired to go in and re-plumb everything the other guy.
100 year old plumbing? Yeah we do that. Kitchen and laundry run through some ancient cast iron piping and backing up. We traced the pipe to this spider web of goodness. A quick cable to clear a ton of kitchen grease and we are on our way to the next one.
Homeowner hired a "plumber" to run a new ice maker line. "Plumber" drills into the drywall and thinks he's drilling into wood framing but he can't seem to get through it. Next, he hears a hissing sound and smells gas. Gas gets shut down and the homeowner calls us. We cut the drywall for access.
While we were looking for the customer's leak, he casually mentions, I was in the maintenance field my entire career. I'm guessing he was probably a caulking salesman. He got a new shower valve and a toilet rebuild with a new shut off.
