If you're building a new home, outbuilding or business, or siting a new manufactured home, you'll need to contact our Engineering Department about getting electric service at a new location.
The more difference there is between the temperature outside and the thermostat setting inside, the harder your heating system will work and the more energy it will use, even if you don't turn the thermostat higher. This is especially true for homes that don't have enough insulation, homes with single-paned or aluminum-framed windows, and homes with a lot of air leaks around windows, doors, and plumbing & electrical boxes. Check your furnace filters to see if they need to be cleaned or replaced.
Note: This list of electrical contractors who work in our service area is provided as a courtesy and is not an endorsement of these companies. If you are an electrical contractor and you wish to be added to this list, please contact our Engineering Department at (503) 397-0760 or engineering@crpud.org.
Please be safe and call 8-1-1 to request locates at least 3 business days before beginning any digging project.
You can still apply for our Engineering Internship Program! The deadline has been extended to March 31. Application materials are available online at crpud.net/ internship.
Keep your electric bill the same all year long by enrolling in our Budget Pay program. New Budget Pay plans are set up only in March. See how to sign up at crpud.net/ budgetpay.
