Today, limestone production in West Virginia exceeds 10 million tons per year, with much of that coming from Greer Limestone, a highly advanced mining operation with over 500 million tons of quality limestone reserves. Limestone is used for asphaltic concrete and concrete production, metallurgical flux, cement, agricultural lime, and construction aggregate and ballast. The best quality limestone is used as rock dust and for chemical purposes in manufacturing. With four facilities, Greer Limestone is uniquely positioned to provide excellent product diversity and meet customers most demanding product specifica-tions while also providing an assured supply of quality material.

With strategically located operations and the most advanced computerized batching systems and lab facilities, we can offer customers a superior product at a cost effective price. A computerized, 5 ton batch processing plant with three 200-ton storage silos and on-site lab equipment enables Greer Asphalt to produce high-quality base and wearing asphalt mixes to be used on driveways, parking lots, and highways. This facility has three 200-ton storage silos, a 4-ton batch capacity and the ability to produce up to 325 tons per hour.
