A-1 Asphalt was founded in 1989 out of the need to service the Duluth Superior and Twin Ports area with quality asphalt maintenance and seal coating. Since then A-1 has grown to service over a thousand satisfied customers and our work has spread through Northern Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota. Asphalt patching is for jobs that are bigger than a few potholes. To perform an asphalt repair that will hold in our northern climate it sometimes involves removing large parts of damaged asphalt paving. The base material may also be removed if it is inadequate. An asphalt bonding agent is sprayed to help the new asphalt stick to the orginal surface. The new asphalt is packed higher than the existing surface and then compacted to become leveled.
