Kaufmann Architects

Kaufmann Architects specializes in creating custom homes that reflect the unique personalities and lifestyles of our clients. With over two decades of experience, we combine personalized attention with deep expertise in architectural design, offering services ranging from custom home construction to kitchen remodels and restaurant design. Our founder, Jim Bob Kaufmann, a licensed architect in California, brings a distinctive perspective shaped by his upbringing on a Wyoming cattle ranch and formal education at California Polytechnic State University. We maintain a small firm structure to ensure direct client collaboration throughout every project phase, from initial concept to final construction. Our portfolio spans diverse settings including urban centers, coastal regions, and rural landscapes across the United States and international locations like Greece.

By cultivating relationships with trusted builders and artisans, we deliver tailored solutions that align with each client's vision and practical needs. Our design process emphasizes active client participation, incorporating detailed feedback to refine plans and materials selections. We specialize in modernizing ranch-style homes while preserving their architectural integrity, blending traditional and contemporary elements to create functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces. Our commitment to quality extends to restaurant design, where we create environments that enhance dining experiences through thoughtful spatial planning and atmospheric details.
