Crack seal uses a hot applied sealant to fill cracks and joints to prevent invasion of surface water between the layers of asphalt and base rock below which helps protect against potholes and deterioration. For the sealant to adhere properly, cracks must be cleared of debris and weeds as well as be clean and dry.
