S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. provides services in four major areas: geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and special inspections, geoenvironmental services and test boring explorations. We are a team of more than 125 engineers, scientists and technicians which annually provides services on more than 2,200 projects. Founded in 1979 by Stephen W. Cole and his wife Wendy, S.W.COLE strives to provide excellent client service every day and is guided by a set of core values, written by our employees.

S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. is a geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and geo-environmental consulting firm withoffices across New England. Established in 1979 by Stephen W. Cole, the S.W.COLE team includes about 115 engineers, scientists and technicians and performs services throughout New England. S.W.COLE is very familiar with the soil conditions in New England. Over our history of more than 40 years, we have worked with a wide variety of complex geologic and subsurface conditions throughout New England.

S.W.COLE's construction materials testing division has been providing knowledgeable, friendly service since our founding in 1979. We firmly believe that the capabilities and experience of our firm and personnel make our firm one of the best in the region - and here's why. S.W.COLE's more than 50 technicians are respectful, dependable, experienced and knowledgeable. Many, if not most, hold advanced certifications from top industry associations such as the Northeast Transportation Technician Certification Program (NETTCP), the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the International Code Council (ICC) and the National Institute for Certifications in Engineering Technologies (NICET).

S.W.COLE's experience with industrial projects includes work at warehouses, food processing facilities, recycling and waste facilities, paper mills and pulperies, biotech and other medical facilities, biomass heating facilities, breweries, clothing manufacturing facilities and more. We have worked on many different types of projects at these facilities, including expansions and renovations, new buildings, wastewater treatment plants, landfill closures, parking lots, crane and machinery pads, docks and underground storage tank removals.
