Founded in the late 1890's, by the Solomon Family, Acme Block & Brick, Inc. got its start as Acme Block and Tile Company. The Solomon's ran the business up until 1942, when an entrepreneur by the name of A.J. Rivers, Sr. bought the company. The company was originally designed to service the Roane County area but as of today it has grown to cover a large geographical area. Areas serviced now extends from Southern Kentucky throughout middle and eastern Tennessee and into northern Georgia. It is headquartered in Kingston, TN to provide a central location to operate an ever growing business.
