Flexamat

Motz Enterprises, Inc. is the manufacturer of Flexamat®. The company has been in business for over 30 years and is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. We developed the first tied concrete block mats nearly twenty years ago. We invented the technology to manufacture and package concrete erosion mats into rolls. Through our experience in a wide range of environments, we have pioneered successful methods to achieve fully vegetated concrete erosion mats. Flexamat® is sold globally. Throughout the United States and Canada, material is locally available in most areas.

Schools typically have large buildings and parking lots that create considerable storm water runoff. These impervious surfaces make storm water outlets, drainage ditches and detention/retention areas necessary. These areas with concentrated flows are compounded with frequent disturbance by maintenance equipment that can lead to erosion issues. Flexamat® offers a permanent solution for these areas. During a growing season, grass rises through the matting. Flexamat® can be mowed with commercial mowing equipment all while providing support for the turf, which prevents rutting.
