Since 1926 we have been known for our first-class buildings and canopies. In fact, there are thousands of them in use across America and in the Caribbean. We have also produced and developed many other steel products for use in retail, commercial, and industrial applications, such as canopy/building fascia, loading racks, wall panel systems, and much more. Our design record attests to our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. We mainly serve retail petroleum and commercial businesses, valuing structural integrity above all in our designs by never sacrificing the quality or strength of our products.
In 1926, Walter C. Junkerman (yn' kr mn) established two separate companies, Steel King Company Incorporated and Steel King Construction, on 1937 North Hubbard Street in Milwaukee, WI and built the company's first steel building of the thousands to follow. He started his business by selling steel garages with metal siding in which to store automobiles such as the Model A and Model T. Steel King Company Incorporated handled the sales, engineering, accounting, and delegation of the manufacturing, while Steel King Construction provided the installations.
Since we constantly work with structural steel tubes, wide flange beams, angle, plate, and cold-rolled steel sheet metal to build our canopies, we have quite a few metal manufacturing capabilities at our facility we offer as a service to petroleum marketers, busy manufacturers looking to outsource a portion of their workload, and the general public. We offer shearing, forming, punching, sandblasting, welding, plasma cutting, painting, decal vinyl graphics application and general fabrication. We use our plasma table to make industrial products, signage/plaques, and dcor, which can be sold to businesses or the end consumer general public.
Our 33,280 square foot sheet metal shop offers shearing, forming using brake presses, hole-punching, sand blasting, painting (sprayed automotive grade) and vinyl graphics applications. We can manufacture a variety of miscellaneous petroleum-related steel products such as tank protectors, containment boxes, sump lids, pump doors, column covers, and more. Multi-part painting for any quantity and size is available. We can match almost any color sample at our in-plant paint booth, where we use durable automotive-grade paint, considered to be low VOC emission (volatile organic compounds).
