Atlantic Metrocast Inc. is a family owned small business founded in 1995. Our roots go back to 1901 as the Atlantic Creosoting Company which provided treated wood products such as rail ties, utility poles, and piling. AMI's Portsmouth, VA location is certified by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) for producing Bridges (B4) with prestressed deflected-strand reinforcement or post-tensioned strand members and Commercial (C4) precast concrete structural members made with deflected pre-tensioned or post-tensioned strands.
