Durable Precast Concrete Solutions Since 1951
Concrete Tech has been a leader in the precast concrete industry since our founding in 1951. Our founders pioneered prestressed concrete innovations, establishing the first manufacturing facility of its kind in the county. With a 30-acre campus in Tacoma, WA, featuring 150,000 square feet of casting beds and a 150' x 500' graving dock, we produce high-quality structural components for bridges, marine piers, detention vaults, and floating structures. Our self-contained facility enables direct loading onto trucks, barges, and rail. Over seven decades, our products have supported thousands of critical infrastructure projects across demanding environments. We maintain PCI certifications in categories B4 and C4, along with WSDOT and Seattle City certifications, ensuring consistent quality control. Our engineering team specializes in complex geometries and custom features, including record-setting 224-foot girders. We invest annually in plant facilities and workforce development to maintain industry leadership. Our commitment to innovation has earned numerous industry awards for technical excellence. With production capabilities for standard cross sections and fully customized elements, we serve public agencies and private clients nationwide.

Services
Bridge Components
We manufacture prestressed concrete girders for bridge construction, including Wide Flange Girders, Voided Slabs, Decked Bulb Tees, and Tub Girders. Our girders support spans from 30 to over 240 feet, meeting WSDOT standards. With capacity for 140 prestressing strands and 300,000 lbs lifting, we produce industry-leading components for highway and transit bridges.
Detention Vaults
Our precast concrete lid systems for detention vaults feature hollow core and solid slab solutions engineered for heavy traffic loading. Designed using proprietary methods, these components handle HS20/HS25 trucks and fire truck outriggers. Engineered for rapid installation beneath roads and parking areas, reducing on-site labor requirements while ensuring long-term performance.
Floating Structures
We fabricate both open-cell and foam-filled concrete floats for marine applications. Using our 150' x 500' graving dock, we assemble post-tensioned components for breakwaters and berthing structures. Our controlled environment ensures quality construction suitable for Pacific Northwest conditions through tropical climates in Indonesia.
Marine Piers
Our marine-grade precast components include pile caps, haunched decks, and channel beams. Engineered for saltwater exposure, these elements provide high load capacity and corrosion resistance. We manufacture load-bearing and fender piling for foundational support and vessel protection in commercial ports and naval facilities.
Custom Components
We produce specialized concrete components for heavy construction including stadium risers, tunnel liners, and shore protection systems. Our manufacturing capabilities support custom shapes and sizes with dimensional precision. These solutions reduce long-term maintenance while maintaining efficient construction timelines for transportation and infrastructure projects.
