We are the Empire State Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, a national construction association devoted to merit contractors. The Empire State Chapter serves close to 400 members throughout New York State from our central office in East Syracuse, and from branch offices in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Long Island/Metro NYC. Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national trade association representing 22,000 members from more than 19,000 construction and industry-related firms.
Associated Builders and Contractors, Empire State Chapter is the voice of the merit shop in the New York construction industry. We accept the responsibility for making that voice heard. We believe the merit shop philosophy is a movement for the betterment of the individual. We oppose violence, coercion, intimidation and the denial of the rights of employees and employers.
Founded on the merit shop philosophy, Associated Builders and Contractors helps its members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work.
