Morse & Doak Builders is a full service residential contracting business serving the greater Midcoast region since 1976. Founders Elliott Morse and Gregory Doak, along with Bryan Hayward and Darius Doak, lead a team of knowledgeable and skillful crew in a wide range of residential project types, including period and historical renovation, new house construction, and general renovation.

The decks around the pavilion were constructed to provide level and dry access to the main entrance and screened in porch. Composite decking with concealed fasteners was used for it's low maintenance and seamless look. Wood posts anchor thin metal cables that makeup the railing system and give the deck a more transparent feel. Although technically the "side door" this entrance off the kitchen sees the most use due to it's proximity to the detached garage to the West. The original stair from the door had an interesting appeal in the way it cascaded down on three sides.

Architect Anne Whitney placed emphasis on the back of the house to take full advantage of the spectacular views of the river from the two-story lofted family room, kitchen, and three season window filled sunroom. The attached two car garage provides conditioned access into the house, much welcomed during the snowy days. Beautiful stonework along the foundation and back patio anchor the house into the surrounding landscape.
