The Northern Virginia Building Industry Association's (NVBIA) primary mission is to represent the interests of its members at all levels of government. We work to make sure our pro-builder, smart-growth agenda is successfully implemented. Additionally, the NVBIA provides networking opportunities for members. At formal and informal sessions, members get together with others in the industry to exchange ideas and create opportunities to do more business. We're also committed to giving back with our work for HomeAid, helping the homeless and vulnerable in Northern Virginia.

The Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) is committed to serving the Northern Virginia housing industry. NVBIA was formed to create a positive economic and political climate for the building industry, so it may effectively meet the demand for affordable, attractive, safe, well-planned and environmentally sensitive residential and business communities. Founded in 1936 by eight Arlington County builders, NVBIA has four chapters: Fairfax-Arlington-Alexandria (FAA), Fauquier, Loudoun, and Prince William.

NVBIA has four chapters that provide members with the ability to get involved at the local level in their communities of interest. This council is exclusively for custom builders and serves as a forum to network and discuss pertinent issues. The Washington Metropolitan Sales & Marketing Council is a nationally recognized council affiliated with NAHB's National Sales and Marketing Council. The council promotes networking and education specifically for sales and marketing professionals and hosts educational visits to new home sites, breakfast workshops, sales seminars and an annual Builder-Broker roundtable.
