C&M Builders is based in Virginia Beach, VA. We have over 30 years of experience in meeting your building needs. We build truly custom, high quality homes and additions/renovations. Our goal is to give our customers a professional yet friendly experience in the building process. We personally supervise every job from start to finish. While our first allegiance is to our clients, we are pleased to work with your architect as well. If you do not have an architect, we can give you our recommendations for a firm we feel can design the type of home or addition/renovation in which you are interested.
C&M Builders is owned by Cush Dobbs and Michael Ricks. We both started in construction as carpenters in the early 1970s. In about 1980, we both (separately) decided to become a Class A Contractors and start doing some building on our own. At first, I kept up with my carpentry business but soon realized I could not properly service my customers the way they deserve. We had both started our building companies doing additions and remodeling. Between the years of doing carpentry and then the building of additions and renovations, we both gained a vast amount of hands on knowledge about how to and how not to build homes.
