Private Builders Inc. (dba RetroCal) is a full service design-build firm that specializes in providing in-house engineering and construction services for soft story seismic retrofit projects in the entire Los Angeles County. Our goal as a company is to incorporate design and construction practices into each project while maintaining an awareness for cost, feasability, convenience, needs, desires and available resources of our clients. We strive to work with the other members of the project team to strike that delicate balance of project cost versus environmental impact.

We provide full, in-house design/build servies where clients find solutions with single stop. Construction services are performed under RetroCal and engineering services are performed under RetroCal Engineering, which are commonly owned and operated. The most important thing we build is relationships. We've forged lasting, mutually rewarding alliances with clients, architects and engineers.
