Since 1957, three generations of Katerbergs have been serving irrigation customers in Grand Rapids and all of West Michigan. Grapids Irrigation has always been focused on providing the highest quality of service along with utilizing the best possible products to create systems that last. Today, Grapids Irrigation remains one of the nation's leading installers of residential, commercial, sports fields and public area sprinkler systems. When summer is over, it's important to winterize your system properly to avoid any damage.

In 1957, entrepreneur Ev Katerberg opened one of the area's first companies offering installation of underground lawn sprinkler systems. His early projects included stately homes, office complexes and government building throughout Grand Rapids. An early innovator, he developed a reputation for quality design, workmanship and customer service. Many of his earliest installations are still in operation today. Today, Ev Katerberg's son Will and grandson Aaron carry on the family tradition of excellence in irrigation at Grapids Irrigation.

With over 60+ years of experience in the industry of moving water, we have the experience needed to solve all of your drainage issues. Whether your issue is downspout runoff, standing water or water damage, Dry-Yard by Grapids will be there to help.

Michigan winters can be brutal and many of our customers are excited to get their sprinkler systems turned back on when spring comes around because it means warm weather is on its way! Around March, April or May you'll want to give us a call to make sure your sprinkler system is ready to run. Low temperatures mean that your irrigation system is likely to freeze during winter. If there is any water left your system a lot of damage can be done to your pipes and sprinkler heads. If you're looking to have the best lawn on the block, our Bi-Monthly Tune-Ups are perfect for you.

Our ecological concern is reflected in our drive to provide Grapids customers with superior lawns and gardens that use the absolute minimum amount of our precious water. The products and services we offer reflect the importance of water conservation and the increased reliability one should expect from their irrigation system. Maintain constant optimum pressure and uniform water distribution to eliminate the misting and fogging that can occur with higher pressures. If damaged, cuts water loss by 70% saving time and money.

When summer is over, it's important to winterize your system properly to avoid any damage. We have the equipment and experience needed to do it right! Our years of experience with satisfying our customers can't be imitated by our competitors. The products and services we offer reflect the importance of water conservation.

We pride ourselves on our exceptional irrigation system installations because we make it a point to incorporate a number of different manufacturers together to create the highest quality system. Over the last 50 years, our company has tried every sprinkler brand on the market and we have installed over 1,000 systems. In this time, we have learned exactly which state-of-the-art equipment choices make sense for each unique install. We have experience on everything from single-family homes to golf courses to commercial buildings.
