Guests sampled a variety of pies from local bakeries and chefs (fruit pies, pot pies, pizza pie.) and enjoy demonstrations from premier chefs in the state-of-the-art kitchens displayed at Builders Source Appliance Gallery. You Make the Impossible - Possible. LifeROOTS can't achieve its mission without your help. Please consider making a donation that will have a real impact on the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
Thanks to all who sponsored, donated or took a pie in the face during LifeROOTS Pie Event, March 14, 2019. Your dedication to the community helped us to purchase adjustable changing tables that will decrease safety issues for staff and the individuals with disabilities LifeROOTS serves. For the fifth year in a row, LifeROOTS brought the community together for a "taste" of fun and fundraising at its annual Pi(e) Day Event - held on National Pi Day (3.14). Our neighbor Builders Source Appliance Gallery - a locally owned and operated premier distributor of residential appliances - hosted the event for the fourth year in a row.
During this very difficult time for both our region and local businesses, the LifeROOTS Business Contracts Division is not only fully operational - but is growing, as our government contracts need additional cleaning services and have turned to LifeROOTS to help implement new cleaning protocols. In fact, we are pleased that we were recently able to hire 7 new individuals for the Contracts Division — which is some positive business news as both non-profits and companies throughout the region work to adjust to the "new normal" of business.
LifeROOTS’ Supported Employment Program offers adults with disabilities a chance to reach their professional goals while offering them the support they need to succeed in the workplace.
Home is a great place to start developing the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
It’s the question all parents ask as soon as their children start grade school: when will my child learn to read?
If your child has a developmental disability, receiving the right services can make a huge difference in their development. Therapy enhances cognitive, physical, and social abilities, but progress doesn’t have to stop once the session ends.
Encouraging independence in adults with disabilities helps build self-esteem, empowers them to make choices, and leads to more fulfilling lives.
