Crocodile Rocks, Inc. is a Natural Stone Wholesaler located in the heart of Kenmore, about 15 northeast of Seattle. One of the largest stone slab supplier in the north end with an amazing & unique inventory of 2cm & 3cm thick slabs as well as lightweight 1cm material. Our owner, Michael Homchick has been involved in the stone world for over 47 years and is now one of the premier stone experts in the Pacific Northwest.

We are stone supply company, that offers our customers various perks, that most suppliers don't. If you find a material that is polished and you would like it honed, we can do that for you. The proper procedure would be to use lower grit abrasives, to take down the polish. We do not recommend "chemically honing" calcitic stones. That is done by pouring acid on the surface. The reason why we don't stand by that, is because it is unpredictable. The acid literally dances on the stone, by eating the calcium on the surface.

Limestones are a common building stone used throughout the world in colors ranging from grey to buff and some pastel shades of pink and yellow. We stock limestones slabs that come from Texas, Egypt & France, just to name a few. Limestones are composed primarily of calcium carbonate. Some limestones are very hard and dense; others are soft and more porous. The hard Limestones can take a polish, & can be classified as a hard limestone, or even a marble. Marble is simply limestone that has undergone pressure in the earth and crystallized to a harder state.
