Each finish is multi-layered with every element carefully selected: from wood color and grain, to stain and paint pigments, to surface texture, and top coat formulation and sheen. With hand-carvings, stained and leaded glass, and cast and cut metals, together we provide a level of artistic customization above anything else in the market.

DRAPERDBS is made in America, in Bucks County, PA, and available through select designer showrooms across the U.S. We take pride in our small woodshop and believe in keeping the focus of our business on a meticulous attention to detail. All of our cabinetry is available with ecologically responsible elements so you can go green without compromising exceptional beauty. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design. It's a green building certificaton system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. It certifies residential and commercial buildings that are designed and built to meet multiple standards in categories relating to energy efficiency, decreasing emissions, and reducing environmental impact.

Our designer partners are the recipients of countless industry awards and accolades. Their DRAPERDBS designs have also been featured in numerous home design publications. We are honored to work with these exceptionally talented designers and project managers every day! Designer Chris Novak Berry of brooksBerry & Associates received three awards for this kitchen design, featuring a DRAPERDBS breakfast bar and accents: Best in Show in the 2011 NKBA Design Competition; First Place in NKBA's competition category for Open Plan Kitchens; and the Platinum Award in St. Louis Home & Lifestyles' Kitchens of the Year: A Cut Above competition.

We use a conversion varnish as the finished top coat of our custom cabinets. This is a highly durable finish and considered the best top coat in the industry. In addition to durability, the benefits of a conversion varnish top coat are increased chemical and moisture resistance, color and sheen protection, and finish elasticity. Even with such a finish, we recommend that you heed the following guidelines to maintain the beauty of your DRAPERDBS custom cabinets. To make cleaning easier and to freshen appearance, we suggest polishing bi-weekly with Old English Lemon Oil or Old English Scratch Cover.
