With a background in guild training from the prestigious Les Compagnons du Devoir, we have built a reputation of impeccable quality for traditional techniques in furniture making and woodworking in both residential and commercial applications.
Fonteneau & Co. was borne by a love for fine cabinetry and classic furniture making that could be applied in a variety of projects. Our cabinetry is for individuals and families who are design conscious with a focus on functionality and lasting value. We believe well-made, long-lasting, beautiful cabinetry should be in reach for a variety of design aesthetics and budgets and we are honored to provide a foundation to creating spaces that are well loved. Fonteneau & Co. is led by its founder, Mickael Fonteneau, in our shop located in Virginia just outside of the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
We will work with you to confirm your design and needs, provide cabinet and color samples and work with you to ensure shipping and receipt of beautiful cabinetry. Our residential cabinetry design is available for kitchens, mudrooms, closets and other spaces that benefit from beautiful cabinetry. Ours is a five-step process where we simplify the process as much as possible while ensuring your aesthetic and organizational needs are met resulting in a beautiful, long lasting spaces that enhance your daily life.
Our cabinets offer a versatile selection of fine cabinetry for a variety of applications. Made in America, we use classic French guild standards in the design and construction of our cabinetry to ensure a beautiful, practical and long-lasting product. We offer cabinets in face-frame construction for our traditional cabinetry and frameless construction for our modern cabinets. Back panels are built with 1/2″ hardwood plywood. The plywood we use is formaldehyde free and made in USA. Standard interior finishes are available in maple or walnut and additional custom options are available upon request.
