In 1974, Don Charles hired Jim Schreier as an apprentice cabinetmaker and eventually sold the business to Jim's father Matthew Schreier in 1976. Matt had been a cabinetmaker for 20 years. Father and son worked together until January of 1991. At that time, Matt retired and Jim, along with his wife Deb, bought the business. Jim had a vision of taking the company to the next level of design, customer service and workmanship.
