Julian and Sons is a small family business specializing in fine custom woodworking. Our firm is nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in North Central Arkansas. In 1985, Tom Julian transitioned from general contracting to pursuing his lifelong love of fine cabinetry and woodworking. Tom followed his father's footsteps as a builder; after watching and learning from their father, Tom's own sons (Joe and Jacob) have followed his footsteps as well, joining him as master cabinetmakers. Tom's background as a general contractor and his artistic vision, enriched by extensive travel, has enabled Julian and Sons to take our work beyond just cabinet making.

Custom furniture is all about you, your environment, and your tastes. Custom furniture is the only way impress your individuality on a room, otherwise you have to search until you find furniture that somewhat works or fits into the space you need to fill. Our custom crafted furniture can be formal or rustic, traditional or contemporary, or somewhere in between. We strive to craft furniture that suits your taste and personality. Detailing of the architectural woodwork (such as a multi-tiered crown system, solid raised paneled wainscoting, or even an elaborate door system) compliments your furniture theme.

In the past few years the kitchen has gone from being merely functional to being the centerpiece of the home and a hotspot for entertaining guests. The modern bathroom has undergone the most dramatic change in design of any room in the home. The bathroom is a very personal and relaxing place. Whether taking a soothing bath or putting on the "finishing touches" before going out, the atmosphere of your bathroom must be pleasing. Beautiful furniture serves as a catalyst, tying the functional and aesthetic aspects of the bathroom together.

Traditionally, millwork is handcrafted interior finish with decorative elements which have been produced using a milled wood. We honor this tradition at Julian and Sons by hand crafting every finish piece, from crown molding and baseboards to decorative elements in custom cabinetry and furnishings. If you need to match an existing profile, no problem! We can use CAD to match our moldings to your existing profile exactly, and we can produce this in any stain or paint grade wood.

While our team will educate you on how to best care for your Julian and Sons woodwork, our commitment to you does not stop when the installation is over. Should your piece require maintenance please call us. We want your pieces to last for generations! We can also help you move beloved pieces from your home or office if you relocate.

In addition to building and installing world class fine cabinetry and mill-work, Julian and Sons also provide design and consultation services to you and your architect or designer at the very beginning of your project. Each project is unique because each client is unique. Our design team at Julian and Sons is available for on-location consultations. Fill out the form below to speak with a team member. We will be happy to visit with you about the scope of work and answer any questions you may have.
