Jim Eylander started in the Electrical and Heating Business in 1954 out of the trunk of his automobile. As business grew, he hired his first employee who worked for him for 40 years. He has always stayed a small business which now has 15 employees. He is proud of the fact that his employees stay with him. He specializes in electric service, home standby generators, heat pump and Air Conditioning, including repairs of all makes and models of gas, oil, and electric heating. We also carry a variety of phase convertors.
Jim Eylander began his electrical contracting business in 1954 when the only requirements to be an electrical contractor to be licensed as an electrical contractor in the state of Washington was only $65 for license and bond. In the 1970s he saw advertising of phase convertors so he bought to see how they were made. The phase convertor came and when they opened it up, they found it was sealed with a tar mixture and they could not see how it was made. We were selling new motors. We had purchased a 5 HP I Phase motor from Westinghouse.
