TEC was established in January 1986. The business, originally named Technical Audio Systems, specialized in sound, intercom, paging and BGM (back ground music) system installation and service. As the business grew the name was changed to Total Electronics Contracting, Inc to better reflect design capabilities and installation practices. Today TEC provides system design, installation, and service of electronics systems, including a broad range of security systems, access control systems, closed circuit TV systems, emergency evacuation systems, fire alarms, telephone and intercom communications systems, sound reinforcement systems, video presentation and distribution systems, structured wiring (data, voice, copper and fiber optics), and life safety products and services.
