Since opening its doors in 1959, Benny's Key Shop has had one all-important idea in mind - keeping your home or business safe. After all, we have more incentive than most to keep up this reputation. Our original owner, "Benny" Babineau, started his locksmithing career in South Tampa and was an integral founding member of the Florida West Coast Locksmith Association in Hillsborough County.

In 1959, Benny's was established in the Palma Ceia area of the South Tampa peninsula between the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club and MacDill Air Force Base. We are the longest continually operating "Brick and Mortar" Full-Service Locksmith Shop in Hillsborough County and our slogan "Here Comes Benny!" is recognized by several generations of Tampa residents as being synonymous with friendly service when you need it! Benny's Key Shop is family owned and operated and specializes in offering personalized service in entry systems including locks, door knobs and other access control solutions.
