Water by Design has factory trained certified technicians for all your hot tub repair needs, we do not contract out any of our spa services. Our technicians are factory trained by Hot Spring Spas, Caldera Spas, Nordic Spas and FreeFlow spas. Each technician undergoes rigorous training and testing with each spa manufacturer that we represent. We also do hot tub repair on other brands as well, Water by Design guarantees all work completed by our technicians.
We have been dealing with Water By Design for over 2 months. They came out and looked at the spa and told me what they thought was wrong and that they would have to order the parts to fix the leak. After waiting for 3 weeks, I called to see what was up with the order and they said they could not order replacement parts. They had given me by email the price of the replacement costs, labor, and chemicals and a rail we ordered of $765.71. They said they wanted 300.00 that day and the rest at completion of the job. I agreed to let them charge $300.00 to my Visa and was willing to pay the rest when the job was completed. After they told me that they couldn't get the parts and had to order New parts, I told them to go ahead and order the parts. Now only after all this, the spa still leaks and now they say that it is not part of the cause of the work they did previously. They want to come back Monday and see where the "other" leak is. What I am so pissed off at is that when I gave them my credit card number, they took $300.00 from my Visa That would have left me a balance of $465.71. I was unaware that they took another $300. from my Visa without letting me know. That would have left a balance of $165.71. After they could not order the replacement parts, they said they ordered the new parts but they never told me what the charges would be. Now I have discovered that they have taken out money to cover the new parts without my knowing how much the new parts even were. This is not how to run a business and I am very upset with this company, I don't know if this complaint will do any good but I hope other people will not have to go through the time and expense that I have gone through, NOW, they have my credit card number and the free will to use it whenever they want too.
