Let us insulate for more comfortable parking, a year round work area, or additional living space. We've been fortunate enough to work on several dozen of ALDI's new builds, remodels, and expansions around the state. Our commercial crews have been installing spray foam insulation in the exterior walls of dozens of stores, including local markets in Utica, Rome, Oriskany, Norwich, Cortland, Ithaca, and the Cazenovia store shown here. Our team headed back to West Point Military Academy for the fourth straight year, contracted to install spray foam throughout the Pershing Barracks, one of the oldest buildings at the academy.
When you are building a new home, there are so many decisions to be made. Whether you are looking to a company like ours to handle the insulation for your home, or you are contemplating handling this task on your own, we can help. We can specify the right material and insulation values to (1) meet the residential energy code, (2) fit your budget, and (3) set you up for many years of living in comfort and efficiency. You can email estimating@upstatesprayfoam.com to send us PDFs of your new construction project.
The reason you need insulation to protect your pipes usually comes down to one of just a few factors. Either your pipe(s) has burst, in which case you want to prevent a future problem; or you can see the signs of a potential burst for the pipe(s) in a new property, and want to make sure it never happens. A rupture can result in expensive repairs, from simple basement flooding mitigation to drywall replacement, or-if you're out of the house when the failure occurs-major renovations from the water and ice damage.
When the summer heat is making its way into your home, air-conditioned air isn't staying in, you see icicles along your roofline in the winter months, or you're losing heat upstairs, it can be a sign that you need attic insulation. At Upstate Spray Foam Insulation, we want to keep you comfortable all year round, and stop you from losing heat, cooled air, and money, through the ceilings in your home. Even if you have existing insulation in your ceilings (or attic), it may not be stopping enough air from migrating through your ceilings and out through your attic.

We hear from many of our customers that their crawl spaces (especially under houses, or basements) are where they want insulation. The cost to insulate these areas is relatively low compared to the big difference you'll see, not just in floor comfort and heating bills, but also in a warmer, drier basement or crawl space. Crawl spaces can be useful, but they can also harbor mold, moisture, dampness, and experience high humidity levels (not to mention critters or insects). All of these will affect the indoor air quality of your home, can have a negative impact on your family's health, and can have a destructive effect on the structure, including rotted joists, subfloor, sills, and more.
We have found that basements are a heat sink-drawing heat away from the rest of your home-from this time of the year through spring. If your first level floors are warm, or if you walk into your finished basement and it feels as comfortable as the rest of your house, it's most likely already insulated. If your first-level floors are cold, or your basement is unfinished and/or cold, you're definitely losing heat (and money). Insulating your exterior basement walls (those around the perimeter) helps seal away that cold concrete that often absorbs your heat and passes it to the earth outside.
