The company was established in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1976 by James Frey and today is owned and managed by James' son, Barry Frey. We've also had the honor of working on several outstanding San Francisco Bay Area historic structures over the years. Those projects include Coralands (the most lavish historic estate on the West Coast) and the beautiful Orpheum Theater in San Francisco.

For decades Frey's Plastering, formerly James Frey Plastering and Taping, has worked throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. James Frey retired in 2001. Since then James' son Barry Frey (a third generation plaster contractor) has lead Frey Plastering. Our full service lath & plaster contracting company works to exceed the expectations of the general contractors we work with. Pre-Construction Budgeting Expertise: We will work with you in the design assist stage to plan the project and keep the plaster work within budget.
