Stockton Products™ was founded in 1949, in response to construction demand in the Southwestern United States, particularly California. Exterior stucco applications were popular and widespread. Recognizing the need to provide a framework around which stucco could be applied and keep it from cracking at stress points, a welded wire corner was developed that met that construction need. It was known as Corneraid®, and quickly became and remains the industry standard. Since then, a variety of welded wire products have been developed that save time, while maximizing stucco adherence to the wire-reinforced exterior.
For over 70 years, Stockton Products has offered architects a full line of lathing and plastering accessories to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by creative architecture. The welded truss design of the finest galvanized wire builds into the structure a superior strength, while affording easy alignment and application over stucco netting. The end result assures solid reinforcement, with mechanical bond and a straight line on the arris, canopies, balconies and corners. Many of our welded wire products are available in stainless steel.
Steel quickly loses its load bearing capacity when exposed to high heat. Consequently, building codes, insurance companies and owners require fire protection on structural steel. Fireproofing material retards both temperature acceleration and flame spread, thus providing the necessary time for fire fighters to either gain control of a fire or to achieve safe shutdown of key areas in a structure or plant. Fireproofing material is applied to various thicknesses. The uniqueness of these welded wire corner reinforcements provides for maximum mechanical keys, enabling the fireproofing material to properly adhere to the structure even when being applied at greater than normal thickness.
