Advantage Glass began with a spark of entrepreneurial spirit. The company generated business immediately after Michael Del Sesto opened the doors in 1998 -- and grew from steady customer demand. After holding sales, estimating and foreman positions in a number of New England glazing companies, Mike believed that a firm focused on quality work and partnering relationships with architects, engineers, contractors and building owners would soon establish a solid position in the marketplace. Acting on those principles, Advantage has provided solutions for the mid-size market ever since.

We offer design assistance, fabrication and installation on a wide range of window systems, and bring an integrated multi-disciplinary perspective to your project. That gives you a flexible partner who syncs well with architects, general contractors, construction managers, developers and building owners. We offer you solutions derived from expertise and experience in nearly all window systems.

Scope of work: Main entry convex aluminum and glass curtain wall system containing lites of insulating glass up to eleven feet in eight. Just beyond the curtain wall is a monumental staircase which we furnished and installed composite metal panel cladding the walls of the entire structure in a champagne colored aluminum composite panel. The project also required thousands of feet ot ribbon installed as well as a large aluminum louver roof screen assembly.

Due to our experience and level of sophistication with stair glazing, we were brought into the New England Tech Automotive project by the construction manager to assist with the design and to help overcome logistical concerns, as the stairs had to be finished off last, following the finish trades. Advantage Glass Company was instrumental in assisting with the design, selecting the glass, as well as working with our engineering contractor to develop a totally concealed method of fastening. One of the challenges that we faced on this job was to install large lites of glass at the stair landings without the use of a crane or forklift.
