In the aesthetic intent stage, we gather information relative to the desired glass types (color, reflectiveness, visible light transmittance, solar heat gain) spandrel conditions (ceramic coated glass spandrels or shadow box construction), exterior and interior paint colors, sun control devices (vertical or horizontal sunshades), operable windows and doors (types, orientation and appearances) metal panels (types, colors, projections, textures and construction), fire rated or special construction areas and other curtain wall infill materials (terra cotta, granite, GFRP, phenolic resin panels).
At Pioneer, we value partnerships as the most important asset we have going into each project. Good partnerships are centered on good communication. Pioneer possesses a comprehensive in-house curtain wall and faade engineering team. This team is populated by designers, adept at conception and design of building facades, and detailers, skilled at drawing and defining all the details required to build a complete curtain wall and faade system. This team produces shop and fabrication drawings guiding both the manufacture and the installation of all of our systems. One of the keys to an efficient engineering process is ongoing and thorough communication.
