Rohlf's Stained & Leaded Glass

For the last century, our master craftspeople, designers and artists have restored the past and created the future of stained and leaded glass for sacred, civic and private residences. All of our creations are original and designed by our in-house artists to interpret the needs of our clients. Whether your needs are for a complete series of newly designed Orthodox windows or an individual icon in stained glass we treat each with equal importance. We recently created and installed the The Resurrection, a thirteen lancet, 31-by-16-foot stained-glass window in the chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta, GA.

The history of Rohlf's Stained & Leaded Glass Studio spans a century and four generations. In 1934 Hans H. Rohlf purchased the Stained Glass firm of Emil Teitz from his estate; the firm was originally founded in 1920. Rohlf's Stained & Leaded Glass Studio, in the early years, provided large amounts of zinc, beveled and turn-of-the century Stained & Leaded Glass windows. In our later years, Rohlf's Stained & Leaded Glass Studio expanded into religious and secular buildings in both new stained & leaded glass window designs, as well as stained & leaded glass restoration.

We always look out for the best interest of our clients and integrity and longevity of the stained glass windows. We freely share our knowledge with our clients including which is the best method to approach a project and why. Where possible we provide cost saving options to achieve the desired result.

This 49-page book covers everything you need to know about restoring stained glass windows in churches and institutional buildings. With over 60 years of service, Peter oversees the general operations of Rohlf's Stained & Leaded Glass Studio, Inc. Specialties are collaborating with the Studio's clients and artists in developing design and style ideas, iconography and color palettes to compliment and coordinate stained glass windows. Peter heads the glass selecting process for most of the projects and orders mouth-blown antique glass, as well as works side-by-side with his stained glass painters and craftspeople. As a 3rd generation family member, I have worked at Rohlf's Studio from the ground up.

Rohlf's Studio can furnish and install new steel casements (single or double-glazed) or retrofit your existing steel casement windows for any architectural setting. Where historical and landmark designation must be maintained, we can provide the proper steel windows to meet your design requirements along with custom hardware if needed. Rohlf's can also retrofit existing steel windowswhen they are removed and brought to our studio. The steel windows are stripped, sandblasted and are finished using a baked-on finish.

Rohlf's Studio can provide and install new custom aluminum frames, either single, double, or triple glazed, thermally broken using " or " to 1" insulated glass. All custom frames are engineered for proper wind loads and can be produced in virtually any shape or size. Rohlf's Studio works with J. Sussman Inc. to engineer and provide us the required systems to withstand proper wind loads to fulfill our customers' requirements as well as the requirements of the architect. J. Sussman Inc. is one of America's foremost custom window fabricators, providing our industry with numerous profiles and extrusions to meet the needs of single, double, or triple-glazed systems along with a thermally-broken glazing system.
