Kramer Window Company was started in 1956 with the goal of providing the best aluminum storm windows and storm doors in the Chicago-land area. Co-owners, Ed Kramer and Anthony Scolaro, quickly achieved their goal as demand for the product soared. A few years later, Kramer left the business for the trucking industry and Anthony Scolaro became the sole owner. Upon his death in March of 1978, his son, Jim, took over operation of the business. New products were added over the years (including high-end vinyl windows) as the company's focus on quality, competitive pricing and service has remained paramount.
