Since 1940, East Chattanooga Lumber has been providing quality building materials to builders, re-modelers and individuals in the Chattanooga area. Service is the cornerstone of our business, and we strive to provide top-notch customer service. Chattanooga builders and re-modelers are familiar with the name East Chattanooga Lumber due to our long history of providing quality and service, and developing long term relationships with our customers. As a family owned local business in operation since 1940, we fully understand our growth could not have been possible without the relationships and support of you our customers.

We began in 1940 as East Chattanooga Coal Supply on Glass St in East Chattanooga. Over the next fifteen to twenty years building materials and lumber began to become our specialty and in 1961 we incorporated as East Chattanooga Lumber & Supply Company, Inc. We led the way in the Chattanooga area producing shop built wood windows and the "pre-hung" door unit. For over fifty years we made our way on Crutchfield St until our move to Elmendorf St in 2006 (staying of course in the East Chattanooga Community).
